Projects updates

Ones again, I didn't update my blog for a very long time.  Between my infection in my teeth coming back (my jaw was swollen again), the side effects of my medication and work trip, I barely have any time to do anything.
Sorry to everyone who is following this :D  I will try harder to keep you updated.

Even with a shortage of time and energy, I did finished up some stuff.

Lately I've been working on finishing up my Crystal Elf kit.
She's been on hold for a while, but I got a "go" from a client and now its time for her to be painted.
Most of the work was done long time ago (I am not even sure how long), so now I am just in the process of painting her.

Skin tone (I added some more shading after this photo)
 Her very cool wings :D
I just love painting Dark Elf's face.  The sculpt is so gorgeous that it almost paints itself.

And a quick test fit.
I just have couple more details to paint and she is done.

Another project on my table right now is a Bayonetta kit (the 1/4 scale).
That girl is huge  O_O
My hands a very itchy right now to start working on her (she is taking a purple bath right now :D).  But to just give you ideas, here is some preview

Of course she is making a great company for my Storm Rider :D
So now I just have to pray that my infection will pass and I don't have to take some even stronger medicine.  I am very sick of having constant taste of bitter medicine in my mouth.
I just want to go and play with my new projects :D

Workbench - Minettev

Before my "Day from Hell" I did finished some stuff up on Minettev.  I feel much better today, so I decided to update the progress on her.

Finally got confirmation on the girls hair.

It was a little bit tricky to do her earrings.  They are supposed to be a dangling kind, so I had to add some plastic stretchy cord (it used for jewelery making).

Her decal eyes.
I am actually very happy how it turned out.  It even included her eye brows :D

And here is a short preview of her finished.
I need to go and take some better pictures of her today.

Oh, almost forgot.  Here is the cat :D

Day from Hell

As the title said it, I just had a day from hell.

I went to bed yesterday with mild tooth ache and woke up with swollen jaw.
Had to make an emergency appointment with a dentist.  Of course the only time they had was right in the middle of my work shift.
OK, not such a big deal.  I am a manager now, so I can allow myself to take a long (very long and unpaid) lunch break.
Went to the dentist and after waiting for 30 min, they had to transfer me to a different dental doctor (orthodontist).  Had to drive to the other place and wait there for a while until I got into the dentist chair.
Now of course I got a "good" news.  I needed TWO root canals.  Not just one, but TWO.  Oh and the best news is that my insurance limit for dental work was already reached.  So I ended up with frozen mouth, two new root canals and a bill for $1600.
But my day was not over yet,  oh no, I still had to go back to work and finish everything up all by myself.
Plus while at work I got a big bruise.
My day really sucks.

I am going to take some very good painkiller right now and sleep.
Thanks for listening.

Workbench - Minettev

I have a little delay on Minettev.  Still waiting for confirmation on her hair color from the client.
Since she is almost done (except the hair), I am just going to update the close up photos of her body.

Storm Riders finished

I loved working on this guys.
1st - they are actually guy kits :D
2nd - they are plastic, which I never worked with before
and 3rd - it was just fun

I hope you like them too

by the way, their heads are about a size of my nail   O_o
it was very "fun" to paint their eyes

Sailor V finished

Finally had some time to take the picture of this lady.  It was lots of fun making her.  Hope you enjoy this too :D

Workbench - Minettev

Progress on Minettev.
I had some free time, so I painted most of the kit :D

Pearl white first.

Some purple shadows next (mostly pastels).
I know that it looks a little bit too purple in some areas, but I did it on purpose.  Ones I paint the  orange, it will even out.

Next it was followed with lots of masking :D
My least favorite part of the painting process.

 Orange time :D

And this is how she looks right now on my table.  All of the brown lines were painted by hand.  I am happy to have a steady hands :D
The base is just a place holder, I will add some better one later.
