Twins picture

My friend is a big Twins fan, so I get to do a lot of sports figure commissions for him.
This weekend is a Twins festival, so of course I had to paint him another picture.

As always, I use airbrush for the background, watercolor for main work and some watercolor based pencils for small touch ups. The size is 16x20 inches.

The original photo was taken from Mothers Day game, so the players wearing pink bracelets, pins and pink bats.

1/6 Red Saber finished

Another red kit >.<
It looks like I only use my red paint lately. I had to go to the store and add some more different shades of red for my paint collection. I don't like to use the same shade over and over again, so this way its more unique .
There is lots of removable parts on this kit. All of the armor pieces come on/off, her white shirt chest area is removable, her skirt, and the front piece of the skirt, and as an added bonus, her underwear (I had to modify this extra feature)
I really like how she came out. She looks so much more royal in the red outfit then blue, but maybe I am just tired of seeing her in blue :)

1/7 Subaru done

My first kit of 2009.
Not much to say, except I am happy with the final result.

First post of 2009

I can't believe I didn't update my blog for almost a whole month (shame on me). And the problem is not that I have nothing to update, its just I have no time to do it >.<


Ok, I've been working on few kits at the same time lately.

First is Chouun kit. I used pearl white for the base of the kimono and shaded with clear red and clear blue. Decals are applied the last. Now I only have to complete her hair and her weapons and she would be done.





Next is a Saber kit. She is almost done too. Only have to paint her sword and sword case.




The third one is Subaru kit. Again she is almost done, only her fingertips left and (again) her sword. I think I have a problem with swords >.< I always leave them till the last minute.

By the way, you can see almost completed Saber in the background :D

And last, is my Elf, which I put on hold for a very very long time (since 2007).

I was sick at home last two days and couldn't work on my commissions (I didn't want to mess them up), so I decided to work on this kit. It is all mine, so I didn't really care if I mess it up.
