Workbench - Human Mage

I got a chance to work on Human mage again today.
Finally I decided to start on the base. I was kind of leaving it for the last moment :D
The client asked for the base to resemble a lava pit with some flames and magic ball in the middle.
The ball is a grass bead from craft store. I painted it the same color as Mages outfit.
The base is painted with oil paints. I am very happy how it turned out, now I just have to wait until it dries.

I was trying to assemble the Mages skirt today, but had a little excident with super glue. Now I have to totaly repaint on of the pieces and my fingers are all covered in superglue.
I had to take a nessasery break and wash my hands with some acetone.
I think I am done for today :D

Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus

The girls are all done :D
I had the hardest time photographing them. The colors would not come out right. Even after some adjustments, it doesn't presents the true colors :(

Workbench

I have lots of things to update today :D

First is my Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus.
They are actually all done, but I decided to show some of the in-progress pictures.

I had lots of fun painting Neptune's hair. Its kind of hard to see on the pic, but it does resembles the ocean waves.

Sailor Uranus body.

Both of the girls uniforms are shaded with pastels. Blue for Uranus and mint green for Neptune.

Ta-da, a quick shot of them on their new base.

Next is the Human Mage.
I painted her skin (I am very happy with results :D ) and her underwear.
Most of her

I still have to adjust the hair. It needs to be more reddish hue.
Also very happy with her eyes :D

And this is my newest project.
A couple of Code Geass kits.

I will post the final pictures of Sailor girls a little bit later.

Armor Girl

Finished up another kit.
This is a 1/8 scale Talos Armor Hunter from Monster Hunter.
Almost all of her armor is removable.
It was something different for me to make :D

All of the parts.
I am including all of the pictures, since Photobucket probably will remove some of them :D

Workbench

One again, I am working on few kits at the same time >.<

Takeo is almost done (just need some final touch ups and photo shoot). So it means that I have a little more space available for another kit.
In this case, its actually two in one :D
I actually get a chance to work on Sailor Scouts (my first love that started me on this journey).
This is a 1/8 scale Neptuna and Uranus in action poses. http://www.e2046.com/product.php?products_id=6151 I got this kit long time ago from E and have to be honest, the quality was horrible (the store had lots of problems at that time, but resolved then now).
Most of the parts are already cleaned and fixed. Just have the skirts and hair to work on (the most messed up parts :D ) Hopefully I can get paint them soon.

Another going on project is Human Mage from Lineage http://www.e2046.com/product.php?products_id=8871
The kit is cast from PVC and had some very weird problems. Soem of the surfaces were very uneven and bumpy. This is my second kit recasted from PVC and I am not sure I like then that much. Except that this is the only way we can get any of this beautiful models.
Anyway, I did work on it for a while. I had to make a removable underwear for her (had to glue the legs first). For now I am testing out the colors on her.
She suppost to have red outfit with gold accesories. I am trying my new powder pearl paint :D
I think it looks pretty good.

And the last, but not the least is my Armor Girl http://www.e2046.com/product.php?products_id=9258
I have to rush this kit a little, since I am on the schedule. I hate dead lines >.<
Anyway, I decided to try something new for her too (well it least its new for me :D). Again pearl powder paint over gold metallic armor. I really love this blue.

Next update is probably going to be with pictures of Takeo.
Until next time....

C.C. in hat

This is 1/6 scale C.C. from Code Geass.
This is a very well thought out break down design for a kit. The sculptor really took his/her time to think out on how to model all the parts. Specially the skirt parts.
There was a few small problems I run into. I had to re-sand and repaint her socks (each sock was made from two pieces and I really didn't want to leave a seam lines). Same for her bra (it came in three pieces :D ).
I had lots of fun making this kit.
