Rider version 1.2

Finally after a few months of working on her, the Rider is done. She was quite a challenge for me. I had to not just re sculpt her whole body and add the skirt and bra, but also change her customary colors. I think she turned out great. I actually kind of like her cotton pink hair.

Baby's picture

Some time without an update, but I not procrastinating. I have way too many things too do and not all of them are happy.

This is a commission for a friend from work. It is a very sad story. His wife was expecting a baby, but they had some problems and he was born dead. The husband decided to commission this portrait of their son for this Valentines Day.
Rest in peace little angel

Twins picture

My friend is a big Twins fan, so I get to do a lot of sports figure commissions for him.
This weekend is a Twins festival, so of course I had to paint him another picture.

As always, I use airbrush for the background, watercolor for main work and some watercolor based pencils for small touch ups. The size is 16x20 inches.

The original photo was taken from Mothers Day game, so the players wearing pink bracelets, pins and pink bats.

1/6 Red Saber finished

Another red kit >.<
It looks like I only use my red paint lately. I had to go to the store and add some more different shades of red for my paint collection. I don't like to use the same shade over and over again, so this way its more unique .
There is lots of removable parts on this kit. All of the armor pieces come on/off, her white shirt chest area is removable, her skirt, and the front piece of the skirt, and as an added bonus, her underwear (I had to modify this extra feature)
I really like how she came out. She looks so much more royal in the red outfit then blue, but maybe I am just tired of seeing her in blue :)

First post of 2009

I can't believe I didn't update my blog for almost a whole month (shame on me). And the problem is not that I have nothing to update, its just I have no time to do it >.<

Ok, I've been working on few kits at the same time lately.

First is Chouun kit. I used pearl white for the base of the kimono and shaded with clear red and clear blue. Decals are applied the last. Now I only have to complete her hair and her weapons and she would be done.

Next is a Saber kit. She is almost done too. Only have to paint her sword and sword case.

The third one is Subaru kit. Again she is almost done, only her fingertips left and (again) her sword. I think I have a problem with swords >.< I always leave them till the last minute.

By the way, you can see almost completed Saber in the background :D
And last, is my Elf, which I put on hold for a very very long time (since 2007).
I was sick at home last two days and couldn't work on my commissions (I didn't want to mess them up), so I decided to work on this kit. It is all mine, so I didn't really care if I mess it up.
I have a WIP of this project on E2046 site ( http://forum.e2046.com/viewtopic.php?t=18168 )
Oh yeah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone !!

Another repainted kit

One of my customers asked me to repaint this Gathering version of wedding kit
Originally, the dress is painted in white and I had to repaint it to red.
I had some problem with focusing with my camera, but you can get the main idea >.<

1/6 Satsuki Ikaruga done

She is done.

For such a simple looking kit, she was quite challenging. Still it was lots of fun doing her.

I didn't shade her clothing like I usually do, I used iridescent paint on it. This paint created nice highlights from different angles. Very nice effect.

Misato completed

Finally, Misato is done. She was my side projects for a friend, so it took me a while to complete her. I am just happy that I finished her before Xmas .
Let me know what you think.

Satsuki from Cerberus project

A small preview for this little Satsuki from Cerberus project.
On the official website it listed that this kit is 1/6 scale, but she is much much smaller. She more of 1/8 scale, so be warned.
Otherwise, she is very exquisitely sculpted. She have very elegant hands, lots of details and removable clothing.
I am mostly sticking with original colors on this project, except two things. I added an iridescent purple color to the white part of her clothing, so now it reflects the light. It is very hard to see on the photos, but looks really cool in person. Another thing I changed is the color of her stockings. I had this really cool smoky pearl grey that I think looks great on her stockings.

I have only a little bit more to paint on her, just her hair, eyes, and her weapon. More pictures coming soon.
